Awesome Amy
Today we had the privilege of meeting the sweetest girl and surprising her with a new beach cruiser. One year ago, they received news that no family ever wants to hear; their precious 10 year old daughter has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. I can’t even put into words the amount of love this family has and the strength they have endured to go through all they have gone through, all while having to continue a somewhat normal life for their other 2 daughters. Amy is completely full of life and loved by all and seeing her smile and the joy she had when she walked in and saw that bike in her favorite colors, brought tears to everyone’s eyes! Even the principal from her school came to be there when she received it!
We got to spend 2 hours playing with Amy and her sisters and seeing her ride her bike around the track multiple times and the feeling of accomplishment that we saw beaming all over her face was a memory that we will all cherish forever!! It’s amazing how such a small thing can leave such a huge impact on someone’s life! Give your family an extra hug and cherish all those little moments just a bit more today!! Thank you to all who have been a part in the journey we are on and those who have contributed to Step7living.org. Stay tuned for some more stories to hopefully brighten your days to come!
